We are in placencia
And trying to avoid the keys
We are very much wanting to swim with the manatees and we have a few days that we could book a hostel or inexpensive place close to Gales point or somewhere in that vicinity to swim with the manatees this is my daughters dream. Anyway, do you have any recommendations I really suck looking up things online and would very much appreciate your help, we are in Placencia now for the next few days

Hey Denise. Unfortunately the majority of manatee tours do depart from Caye Caulker as they live in the marine reserve around that area. If you are keen to swim with them from Ambergris Caye there are a handful of operators who offer these tours and also will dock on Caye Caulker so you get to spend a little bit of time exploring that island as well. Seaduced Belize and Belize Diving Adventures both offer these types of tours, also look out for operators listing Coral Gardens as one of the snorkeling spots as they are known to frequent here.
